    Nathan Lerma

    Litigation Attorney

Nathan Lerma was born in Laredo, Texas and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas where he learned a sense of community and charity while regularly volunteering for hospitals and community organizations. Nathan graduated with his bachelor’s degree and certificate in business from the University of Texas at Austin. While interning at the Texas State Capitol, Nathan gained a deeper understanding of the importance of helping others whose voices might go unheard.

After working several years in the Texas Senate for Senator Judith Zaffirini, Nathan graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law on an accelerated timeline, participating as an Editor on St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice and obtaining a legal certification in Alternate Dispute Resolution – Mediation. With well over 100+ hours of pro bono service, Nathan was awarded the St. Mary’s University School of Law Pro Bono and Public Service Award and was automatically admitted to the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono College. Despite an accelerated timeline in law school, Nathan worked the most pro bono hours of any student in his graduating classes.

Nathan gained experience in Intellectual Property Law while working in Beijing, China for Xangxin Partners. P.C., a leading intellectual property law firm licensed by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) of China. Nathan has much experience in Family Law working for the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aide, assisting indigent and low-income individuals while fighting for the underserved communities of the Rio Grande Valley.

Having joined the Kwok Daniel team in 2019, Nathan has a heavy hand in all pre-litigation cases, working with clients to ensure that they receive the medical treatment and advocacy they deserve. Never one to lose balance, Nathan often finds himself as a wanderlust traveler, new hobby enthusiast, and a city explorer, hunting new and exciting restaurants and activities.
